Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to protect the health of the community, this special event has been postponed until further notice.
We are exploring the option of offering virtual classes.
Sunday, March 22 | 2:00-2:45pm
With Buddhist Teacher Gabi Arias
Life as a teenager can feel stressful and overwhelming. There’s a lot to negotiate – friends, teachers, parents, expectations. For many teenagers in today’s world, life sometimes seems out of control. Learn and practice simple meditations that will help us get rid of distractions and ground us in a more peaceful and productive state. See how meditation can offer a break from our hectic lives, a handy “time out” that we can use whenever we need it.
Through meditation, we grow to understand that, in any situation, we have the power to choose what it means for us and respond in the best and most useful way.
This 45-minute class will include a guided meditation, a short teaching on how to develop skills for responding to the stressors in daily life, and perhaps a short 2nd meditation.
Designed for teens 13-19. (A year or two younger or older? Join us anyway!)
No previous meditation experience is required.
Cost: $5
