Introduction to the Practices of Purifying the Mind and Deepening Compassion
With Gen Kelsang Khyenwang
Tuesday, May 5 | 6:30 – 7:30pm
Learn about two special practices to purify the mind and increase our compassion.
Gen Khyenwang will give commentary to the practice of Taking the Eight Mahayana Precepts, which many Kadampa practitioners engage in worldwide on the 15th of each month. She will also share commentary on the practice of Drop of Essential Nectar, a beautiful practice of chanted prayers conjoined with prostrations to Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion. The retreat with these practices will be streamed online from the center on Saturday, May 16. If you are interested in participating on that Saturday, or if you would just like to know what these practices are about, you are welcome to join in on this class.
