Awakening the Heart – Je Tsongkhapa Empowerment

In reality, we all have an innate and indestructible potential for all the good qualities of the heart – such as love, kindness, compassion, wisdom, and acceptance – that lead to the very deepest inner peace and happiness.

In this special empowerment event, we have the opportunity to make a connection with the inspiration of the Wisdom Buddha Je Tsongkhapa and make progress in awakening this spiritual potential.

An empowerment is a deeply peaceful guided meditation, through which we connect in our hearts with a particular Buddha and their enlightened inspiration, or blessings.

By receiving the empowerment of Je Tsongkhapa, we have the opportunity to connect – whenever we wish – with a source of positive energy that naturally uplifts and inspires our mind. Through this, we can continually grow our wisdom and good qualities and thereby actualize our potential for true peace of mind, happiness, and the ability to be of real benefit to others.

On Saturday, resident teacher Matthew Stein will guide the empowerment and give a commentary  on the special meditation practice known as ‘Heart Jewel’. On Sunday there will be an additional commentary and meditation session. Through engaging in this empowering heart practice, we will discover a perfect method to accomplish our spiritual goals.

It’s customary to bring a small offering to the empowerment, i.e., cookies, chips, chocolates; a small bottled or canned non-alcoholic beverage; candles, or soaps. You are welcome and encouraged to do so!

SATURDAY SCHEDULE:
10:30am -12:30pm: Empowerment (Please arrive no later than 10:15am)
12:30pm – 2:30pm:  Lunch
2:30pm – 4:00pm:   Commentary 1 (You must attend the empowerment to attend the commentary.)

SUNDAY SCHEDULE: (You must attend the empowerment to attend the commentary and meditation.)
10:00am -11:30am: Commentary 2
11:30am – 12:00 pm Tea break
12:00pm – 1:00pm:  Meditation Session

It is encouraged to attend both of the days of the Empowerment weekend. However, you may attend the Saturday Empowerment and commentary even if you cannot attend on Sunday.
