Odiyana Kadampa Buddhist Center is dedicated to creating world peace by giving everyone time tested methods for developing true inner peace and happiness. Our center offers a place of refuge where we can grow our positive minds of love, compassion and wisdom together as a community. External peace comes from inner peace naturally. If people in this world become more peaceful, calm, happier, and more loving, then naturally externally the world will start to become more peaceful, calm, happier and more loving.
OKBC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization supported entirely by memberships, class fees and donations. Your participation in the Walk for World Peace and donations help to ensure that Odiyana KBC can continue to provide service to the community and create a more peaceful world for many years to come.
Join the Walk
Everyone is welcome to join this fun and social event! The event will begin at the center with a brief guided meditation with Resident Teacher, Matthew Stein. Following the talk, participants will enjoy a beautiful walk in nature as they make their way to Glastonbury Riverfront Park and then back to the center. The total length of the walk will be approximately 2 miles.
At the end of the walk, there will be a community potluck at the center.
