About the Course:
Happiness is an inner quality, a state of mind that naturally arises when the mind is peaceful. In this day retreat, we will learn to let go of distractions, busyness and worry and practice simple meditations to gain experience of the clarity and joy of a peaceful mind. Everyone can learn to meditate and gain deep familiarity with positive thoughts, feelings, intentions and determinations. Give yourself the gift of meditation and learn practically how to transform your life through the power of getting to know the potential of your own mind.

About the Teacher:
Gen Khyenwang is an inspiring example of a contemporary Buddhist practitioner and is known for her warmth and sincerity, putting time-tested teachings into practice in daily life. She has been practicing and teaching Buddhist meditation for many years under the guidance of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition. The teachings she shares are clear, heartfelt and extremely practical for modern life.

In addition to teaching drop-in meditation classes, day courses, and guiding retreats, Gen Khyenwang also teaches weekly study programs (Foundation Program and Teacher Training Program) and shares teachings at centers throughout New England.
