Meditation for Kids: Putting Love Into Practice
with Resident Teacher, Kelsang Khyenwang
Three Class Series | Fridays, March 2, 9 & 16
Resident Teacher Kelsang Khyenwang has many years of experience as a Buddhist meditation teacher and as an elementary school teacher.
Meditation is getting familiar with calm, clear, positive states of mind. When our mind is peaceful, we are happy and we naturally treat others with kindness and concern. In these classes, we will practice recognizing which thoughts get in the way of being positive and which ones help to enjoy and appreciate ourselves and others.
These classes will include simple, brief guided meditations, listening to a story with the theme of lovingkindness and a simple activity or craft project to remind us how to practice in daily life.
Parent/caregiver needs to remain with the child.
Suggested ages: 5-10 (please feel free to call with any questions about age-appropriateness)
3 Class series: $15 per child – Parent/caregiver – No cost
