Living Lightly: The Wisdom of Reality | A Silent Day-Retreat
(With transmission of the main points from the NKT International Spring Festival)
Saturday, June 2 | 10am-3:15pm
Taught by Resident Teacher Gen Khyenwang
$35 | $20 for Full members – Free for Benefactors
Buddha taught all of our problems come from not understanding the true nature of things. He said that all of his teachings were actually methods to realize emptiness, the true nature of all phenomena. When we realize this true nature of all phenomena, all our suffering will permanently cease, in the same way in which when we awaken from a dream, all suffering from the dream simply disappears.
We will receive teachings and be guided in practical meditations on emptiness. These will help us to have a clear understanding of emptiness that we can use to relax our mind, see people in a more positive light, and ultimately attain the lasting happiness of enlightenment.
It is recommended that you attend the course in its entirety. Although pre-registration is not available for those unable to attend all sessions, walk-ins are welcome.
