Developing Joy

Happiness and suffering are both states of mind and every living being has the same basic wish–to be happy and to avoid suffering. Meditation is the main cause of mental peace and functions to make the mind calm, clear and positive. By identifying more and more with this limitless potential of the mind for peace, joy and freedom from negativity, we begin to break the cycle of unhappiness. The more experience we gain, familiarizing ourselves with positive states of mind, the more we can learn to let go of mental habits that bring us pain and make it difficult for us to be happy with ourselves or with others.

There will be guided meditations, advice from Buddha’s teachings, time for discussion and Q & A. Everyone is welcome to this class. Perfect for beginners or those with meditation experience.

Schedule:
Registration begins at 9:30am
Part 1: 10-11:30am
Break: 11:30-11:45am
Part 2: 11:45am -1pm

$30 or Free for Members.
