Workshops give people an opportunity to explore a particular topic in a single class, as opposed to an entire series. It is a practical way to begin to explore a topic (such as patience, anxiety, etc.) and gain some meditation experience and practical methods to use in daily life. The class format generally begins with an introduction to the topic, a guided meditation, clear, simple advice and time to meditate again and discuss a plan for bringing the practice into our life. There is also time for Q & A. Following the class, there are refreshments and time for browsing the bookstore and engaging in conversation. Workshops usually range from 90 minutes to 4 hours. The longer classes include breaks between sessions.
