Awakening our Pure Potential
With Resident Teacher Gen Kelsang Khyenwang
On this very special day, Gen Khyenwang will grant the blessing empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni and will explain how we can draw close to and receive deep inspiration from living Buddha every day in our modern, busy lives. Through this extraordinary relationship, we will be able to solve all our problems, achieve peace of mind and become a source of benefit to others. Essentially we will become the person we’ve always wanted to be and in this way fulfill the real meaning of our life. Gen Khyenwang will also give commentary on the practice Prayers for Meditation through which we make our meditations more joyful and more powerful. There is an opportunity to engage in guided retreat sessions on Sunday to gain experience in the practice.
What is an empowerment?
An empowerment is a blissful and inspiring guided meditation through which we connect directly to Buddha’s enlightenment and awaken our own potential – or Buddha nature – so as to actualize it ourselves.
Who is Buddha Shakyamuni?
More than 2,500 years ago, Buddha Shakyamuni opened the door to enlightenment. What he revealed in that moment – the sublime state of boundless happiness, freedom and the compassionate ability be of limitless benefit to others – is still available to all of us, right now. Buddha Shakyamuni set an example of how to reach our own potential, and how to have an inexhaustible supply of joy within our own mind through meditation.
